Unschoolers in Minnesota was created for people in Minnesota that unschool or learn from life, rather than formal educational curriculum. We are open to all, including adults, children, parents and nonparents. In this group, we can ask questions, and get opinions and support. We understand once a parent, always a parent, so parents of adult children are welcome as well. The parenting and living style reflected in this group is similar to Scott Noelle's, parenting coach.

Living and Learning Without School!

We are a support group for unschooling and relaxed homeschooling families in the seacoast area of southern Maine and New Hampshire. We are inspired by the works of John Holt, and the idea that curiosity is innate and that learning is a natural, seamless part of life. We welcome those who are new to homeschooling or have young children and are exploring their options. SUN is a non-directed support group, which means that all activities are organized by individual families, who then invite others to join them.

Join us for Fun Unit Studies each month!

Grades K-5 are invited to explore language arts, science, history, art, and math within fun themes once a month for 5 weeks.

Monthly Themes:
Monday, January 8: It's COLD!
Monday, February 5: Mmm...Chocolate!
Monday, March 12: Money & more Money!
Monday, April 2: Eggs Galore!
Monday, May 7: The Great Outdoors!
Cost: $5 each child each class.

Meeting: First Tuesday each month in Ceres, 10am - 12pm.
