We are the local chapter of the Tennessee Home Education Association (THEA). We are a volunteer Christian organization seeking to serve homeschooling families by providing support, encouragement, and assistance; advance the cause of home education in the state of Tennessee; and safeguard and promote the general right of parental authority in education.

The Three Rivers Homeschool list functions to connect homeschooling families and their support groups. Meeting announcements, field trip and activity opportunities, workshops and conferences, and homeschool related for-sale items will be welcome. While we welcome families of all faiths to participate, the majority of members are Christian and the subject matter will reflect a conservative, pro-family, pro-life point of view.

The primary purpose of this organization is to provide representation of the region in Jefferson City, with the Legislature. FHE's Secondary purposes include informing new homeschoolers about state law, as well as providing contacts for regional support groups.

Special Needs Support Group

This is a support group for anyone who is homeschooling a child or children with special needs. We welcome anyone who is homeschooling children with special needs and is looking for support, as well as parents who have homeschooled children in the past and may have advice or support to offer parents who have the unique challenge of homeschooling these special children. These meetings will be a very loosely structured time of fellowship and support, in a safe and non-judgemental environment, and may also offer guest speakers from time to time who have experience in homeschooling special needs children.

Meeting: Sunday evenings at 7:00 p.m. - Every 6-8 weeks in Ceres.

Serving: California Central Valley area, including but not limited to: Stanislaus county, Merced county, Mariposa county, Madera county, Tuolumne county.

Parent led support group providing a myriad of educational and social acitivities.

Some of our activities include park days, presentation day, book clubs, teen gatherings, science clubs, bowling/skate or swim parties, montly parent meetings, family potlucks as well as many exciting field trips. Join our yahoo list to learn of social and educational activities.
