The Smoky Mountain Home Education Association (SMHEA) is a Christian led, non-profit service organization with membership open to all. We seek to promote home education by providing information and vital resources to all area home schoolers.

Serving: SMHEA serves the families of eighteen counties surrounding Knox County and is one of seven Tennessee regional organizations affiliated with the Tennessee Home Education Association across Tennessee.

Colorful Kids

Unite our children through pen-pal communication, parkdays and field trips.

The mission of Colorful Kids is to identify and connect African American homeschoolers in the High Desert and Inland Empire and those who are homeschooling children of African descent. It serves also to enlighten and encourage others who may be considering homeschooling. We recognize this distinct group as being a "minority within a minority" who's decision to empower their children and strenghthen their families by choosing to homeschool often times puts them at disadvantage where moral support within their community, information, and social events are concerned. This group seeks to provide a portal where all of the above issues that are relevant to homeschoolers, particularly African American homeschoolers, can be addressed.

ECCHO - where we teach our children to "eccho" our values and teachings.

We offer a variety of support for homeschoolers. Learn how to choose curriculum, participate in field trips, library activities, parties, and more.

Meeting: We meet twice a month at the library. We also arrange at least one field trip a month.

EHNH seeks to provide networking opportunities for homeschoolers in the Rockingham area. We welcome everyone regardless of race, religion, lifestyle, ability levels, socioeconomic status or learning style. We feel it is important for our children (and ourselves!!) to be able to have an outlet for fun and learning with people who value homeschooling as we do.
