The Moms' Group
Character begins at home!
This is a moms-only monthly support group. Topics vary month-to-month. There are no membership dues or requirements. This is a popular, very encouraging group with no "cliques" and filled with mothers from many different churches and backgrounds who come together to encourage one another.
Meeting: The second Thursday night of each month at 7:00 p.m. through the school year. Off during the summer.

co-op classes, field trips, summer get togethers, etc. Classes offered

Home Educators at Grove is a home school support group originating from but NOT exclusive to members Grove Avenue Baptist Church. Our support group is built on the truths of the Word of God, and as parents, we strive to live in such a way that reflects Christ. Throughout the year there are many activities planned which include field trips, clubs (book, chess, sewing, mechanics, etc.), parties, geography and science fairs, curriculum sale, variety show and field day events, Back-to-School and end-of-the-year family picnics.

Salem Youth Chorus
(SYC)
Chorus for teens and college age singers
The Salem Youth Chorus was founded in order to provide teens and college aged young adults with the opportunity to sing great choral music. Our music program has attracted young persons from communities throughout the tri-county area in Ohio. The SYC rehearses once weekly throughout the season, alternating at rehearsal sites in Boardman and Salem. The rehearsal schedule intensifies prior to performances. If you are a teen (ages 14 and up) or college aged, love to sing and enjoy challenging repertoire in a demanding but supportive musical and social environment, consider being in the SYC.
