Lawrence Area Homeschoolers Network
(LAHN)

An active diverse community!

LAHN supports families and encourages Lawrence area homeschoolers. Our common bond is homeschooling. Most of our meetings are social in nature, although members are encouraged to share their skills through classes, activities, and organized field trips. Membership is open to all, we appreciate diversity. We encourage everyone to join us for play dates, where our children can get together to play, have fun, and socialize. Learning takes place at all times, but we generally prefer to leave the lessons at home and use group time to explore our world together.

Valley Homeschoolers

Support for Lehigh Homeschoolers!

Our group is all inclusive, with some members using traditional methods, and others cyber schooling. We're not affiliated with any religion, however, most are Christian. We are different in that we have a great deal of teens, and provide activities geared for them. For example, we had our first prom in June, 2008, planning is now in the works for our June, 2009 prom. We have homeschool bowling, matinees, ice cream socials, etc. We're solely a support group; we don't have co-ops.

Summit View Homeschoolers
(SVH)

Providing encouragement and support!

Summit View Homeschoolers is a secular parent-run homeschool support group. We have a lot of really exciting things planned, some of them include "whole family" activities on days when Dads can attend, monthly park days, a spelling bee, exciting new group classes, and more. Summit View is operated as a co-op, so everyone is expected to pitch in and help plan at least one activity for the year. The principles of character and integrity are emphasized and encouraged. It's all about enjoying learning, networking with other parents, and giving our kids unique experiences that a larger group affords. Summit View has no official political or religious affiliation.
