Opportunities for all!

FHE is a Prattville-based support group for families in the tri-county area. We are not a legal covering/school. FHE is a group of families who support one another in the area of home education. We offer many educational opportunities as well as social gatherings for our children. We are strictly a volunteer organization. Each year our clubs, field trips, etc. are scheduled based on our membership's willingness to organize/lead or lend a hand.

Meeting: Held at Grace Community Church, 3515 Highway 14, in Millbrook on the 3rd Thursday each month from 2:45 - 4:00 p.m.

Serving: Ada, Brassell Bottom, Cecil, Davenport, Flatwood, Grady, Lapine and surrounding areas.

Maxwell Area Home Educators

No age restriction or requirement.

Maxwell Area Home Educators (MAHE) is a support group formed primarily to encourage military homeschoolers regardless of their reasons for homeschooling, philosophy, or method of instruction. MAHE is not a church school, but a network of homeschoolers working together to assist one another in our homeschooling efforts.

Meeting: Since most of our activities are on base, a family needs to have access to Maxwell & Gunter Air Force Bases.

Serving: MGM area (Maxwell, Gunter, and Montgomery)

Bring your Enthusiasm!

We seek to provide a positive socialization environment for homeschooled children and to furnish a forum for support and encouragement to their parents in the homeschooling process. We also welcome those who are thinking about homeschooling. ECHO is a homeschool support group, not a cover school. Membership is free! Just bring your children and a snack to share.

Meeting: We meet the first and third Friday of every month year-round from 10 a.m. until noon at Millbrook Presbyterian Church on Main Street, Millbrook.

Serving: Mount Carmel, Hope Hull, Ramer, Mathews, Roxana, Strata, Taylor, Fleta, Kilby, Canty and surrounding communties.

HIM is not an umbrella school. We come from a variety of groups, but get together to share resources and fellowship.
