Home Educated Teen Group

Join us for fun and education!

All home educated teens (ages 13-18) and their families are invited to join our teen group. Our group consists of home educated teens who participate in projects, take field trips, classes, plan and run community service events etc while having the opportunity to interact with their peers in a relaxed and informal setting.

Meeting: Group meets weekly for activities. Dates to be announced.

Serving: Ravinia, Volo, Green Oaks, Deerfield, Del Mar Woods, Indian Creek, Park City, Zion, Lake Zurich, Hainesville, Lake Barrington and surrounding areas.

Lake County H.O.U.S.E.

Home-Oriented Unique Schooling Experience

The mission of Lake County H.O.U.S.E. is to provide non-political support and information for homeschooling families as well as providing socialization and shared educational opportunities for our children. Lake County H.O.U.S.E. provides many clubs and field trip experiences organized by and for its members and others in the homeschool community, as well as a lively dialogue concerning homeschool interests and educational opportunities. New members are always welcome. Activity Meetings are on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 10 a.m., featuring activities for students and a chance to socialize. Mom's breakfasts every month as well.

Meeting: Parent Support Meetings are on the 3rd Wednesday of each month at 7:00 p.m.

Serving: Antioch, Beach Park, Deer Park, Fox Lake, Hainesville, Indian Creek, Lake Bluff, Libertyville, North Chicago, Old Mill Creeek, Riverwoods, Round Lake Park, Third Lake, Volo, Wauconda, Winthrop Harbor, Zion, and surrounding communities.

We offer classes to homeschooling students in grades 2 through high school in humanities, language, science, and art.

The name Lumen et Vita means light and life. The goal of a classical Christian education is to provide high quality academic training enabling students to think, to reason and to speak soundly from a mature biblical perspective.

Mighty Oaks

Mighty Oaks is a Christian homeschool group for students in 6th to 12th grade

Mighty Oaks provides opportunities for fellowship, friendship, and education in a Christ-filled atmosphere and safe environment. We meet year-round and our summer activities include educational field trips, community service projects, physical education, arts and crafts, and monthly family picnics. Our academic program begins after Labor Day and is designed to supplement homeschool curriculums offering classes in debate, public speaking, foreign languages, drama, cooking and more.

Meeting: Academic classes are held on Tuesday afternoons from 12:30 to 4:30 pm - September 5, 2006 through May 22, 2007
