Many Rivers Unschoolers (MRU)
MRU children range in age from infant to teen.
We have children that range in age from infant to teen. The term "unschooling" means that we practice child-led learning, as opposed to following a set curriculum. Our special-interest groups currently include anime club, science club, game day, gym day, fiber arts group, and parent's night out. We also produce Undercurrents, our own journal of arts and literature, and participate in homeschool acting classes, swimming, and skating days.
Meeting: We meet every Wednesday for an unstructured play group, and on other days for special field trips and special-interest groups.
Serving: Naperville, Aurora, Joliet, Will County, DuPage County and the surrounding west Chicago, Illinois suburbs.
Neighboring Counties: Cook, IL, DeKalb, IL, DuPage, IL, Grundy, IL, Kane, IL, Kankakee, IL, Kendall, IL, La Salle, IL, Lake, IL, McHenry, IL, Will, IL, Lake, IN
