Open play for homeschool children of all ages in Leavenworth County, Kansas! Homeschool Recess is your opportunity to connect to other local homeschool families through free play! Open to all homeschool families with hosted weekly park dates in the Leavenworth County area to take advantage of all the amenities our area has to offer. With something for all ages, parks offer a comfortable space for connections to be made. The calendar is posted monthly for your convenience and group members are welcome to create events of their own.

Stepping Stones Homeschool Group

Christian Homeschool Group!

This group strives to provide quality Christian based educational resources and support for Christian home school families. We encourage a family commitment to this Christian based learning experience, without impacting family life. Classes are split up into small groups according to age. Each parent helps in some way, either teaching or helping in a class. Classes are chosen around a theme at the beginning of the school year, but are not limited to it. Subjects have included art, p.e., history, life skills, etc... We also organize field trips and guest speakers for added enrichment.

Meeting: Our group meets weekly Sept. thru May on Thursdays from 9-12:15 (excluding Nov. & Dec.) We meet in Overbrook, KS at a local church. Thursday, 9am-12:15 p.m., Overbrook, KS

Fellowship, Support, and Encouragement!

C.H.E.A. membership is open to Christian homeschoolers in the Southeast Kansas area. We have three planning teams to coordinate activities for these areas and all member moms are encouraged to serve on one of these teams. By sharing the responsibilities, we can make the group a success and can all have a part in the group's direction.

Meeting: We hold support meetings for mothers on a monthly basis. CHEA holds one field trip per month and 1 or 2 other student learning/social activities.

Serving: Pittsburg, Litchfield, Frontenac, Capaldo, Radley, Kirkwood, Langdon, Chicopee, Lone Oak, Cornell, Girard, Mulberry, Ringo, Croweburg and surrounding areas.
