Supporting military homeschooling families!

This is a group for Christian Homeschoolers in the military stationed in Colorado (for get togethers). We range from Preschool age and up. At the current moment our primary focus is on homeschooling our preschoolers. We are always looking for those who have older children and can give advice. Must have military id and access to local bases.

Meeting: Group meets at various local airforce bases; Fort Carson, Peterson AFB, Shriver AFB, Cheyene Mountain, and US Air Force Academy.

Serving: Colorado Springs, Fountain, Cascade, Cimarron Hills, Stratton Meadows, Duffield, Broadmoor, Ivywild, Skinners, Pikeview, Papeton, La Foret, Shirley, Falcon, and surrounding areas.

SHSSG caters to the diverse community we live in. Anyone that educates at home is welcome. Our members prefer that their religious and political beliefs not be a part of this group's identity or purpose. We are a non-directed group, which means all members are welcome to plan activities, field trips, and more.

The Colorado Springs Homeschool Support Group, with the support of Columbine Academy, is offering the IOWA Basic Skills Test for those choosing to utilize the standardized testing route for their children in grades 3, 5, and 7. Providing Legislative and legal information, Special speakers, seminars, graduation ceremonies and more.. We sponsor newcomer receptions most months. Throughout the year we will hold special meetings, testing, etc...
