Homeschool Children's Play Association

Free Children's Theater for kids, by kids!

We are a theater group, cultivating the creativity and ingenuity of local homeschool children. Our group was born in the imagination of a 9-year-old girl seeking to create a free theater group. The HCPA is proud to be a child-led organization that not only fosters budding actors, but also young writers, musicians, and artists. Our plays are all written by children. Each theater production includes several original musical arrangements, written by the child members and scored by parent volunteers. Our lively, young vocalists enjoy singing, adding another layer of entertainment to our free community performances.

Vyelin Studio

Suzuki Violin Lessons - "Music is a more potent instrument than any other for education" -Plato

Vyelin StudioI have been teaching Suzuki Method violin lessons in the Napa Valley for eight years. I have 26 students ages three to twelve years old. I feel blessed to have been able to learn to play the violin when I was a child and am grateful to my violin teacher for the joy and fulfillment I have received from being a violinist and would now like to pass this gift to other children. I believe that the ability to make music is one of the greatest gifts you can give a child. My approach to instruction draws from a Suzuki base using creative and imaginative activities, playing musical games, and teaching rhythm and movement. My goal is for the students and the parents to enjoy musical study. The early years are crucial for developing mental processes and muscle coordination. Listening to music should begin at birth; formal training may begin at age three or four, but it is never too late to begin. Give your child the gift of music.

Families In Support of Homeschooling

Friendships Made HERE!

FUH is not a co-op or an online-only group. Our main goal is to give homeschooling families a place to socialize, have fun, and mostly, create life-long friendships! The first hour is spent in structured gym time with an instructor. Then we have classroom time which can include snack, creative projects, crafts, and games. We also have monthly field trips to various localities; museums, factory tours, apple orchards, farms, and the like. We welcome visitors anytime throughout the years. We just ask that you notify us in advance so that we know to expect you.

Pray, Give and Go!

We meet every Tuesday to learn about different parts of the world, and the work God has and is doing there. Every meeting we study a different region or country, work on an art or music project from that region, have PE games and drama to reinforce the lesson, and finish with a short spanish lesson. Once a month the kids work on a service project and go on a field trip. This group meets at the same as a moms life group at the chapel springs church. Homeschool moms are welcome to join the moms group and pay a fee for the program, or volunteer and have their kids attend for free.
