We work with School Choice Week to host the biggest rally in SC. We also promote Pinwheels for Prevention campaign to homeschool groups.

School's Out Support

Broadening our children's worlds!

School's Out Support (SOS) is a volunteer-driven, South Carolina statewide organization whose mission is to support and promote unschooling, provide information, monitor and influence legislation, offer opportunities for families to get together, and empower families to make the choices that respect the rights, needs and aspirations of their children. SOS welcomes anyone with an interest in unschooling.

Meeting: An online community.

Serving: Rockhill, Spartanburg, Greenville, Anderson, Hilton Head Island, Charleston, Mt. Pleasant, Myrtle Beach, Sumter, Columbia, Florence, and surrounding communities.

N.I.C.H.E. is a diverse support group of home educating families tolerant of all members' differences, be they religious, educational or political in nature. Thus we are inclusive and welcoming to all who desire to educate their own children in an atmosphere of mutual respect, tolerance and fun.

We are a dedicated homeschooling family who has a strong commitment to the homeschool movement. Our homeschool experience spans eleven years, during which time we have been actively helping newcomers, supporting fellow homeschool families, and investigating and learning about all aspects of homeschooling. Our purpose is to help families build strong foundations in the homeschooling arena.

SCHEA provides service and support to home educating parents within the state. Membership is open to all home schooling families, however, SCHEA does promote a Christian world-view. Committed volunteer home school families work to create opportunities and support to the home school community. SCHEA monitors legislation at the state and federal level that could affect home schoolers and provides alerts and updates as necessary.
